Way Of Life Fitness is a Health and Fitness Centre located in Wainuiomata, Hutt City accessible 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. Our mission is to support our community in their physical + mental health and wellbeing while helping them to achieve their personal goals in a safe and supportive environment.

We are breaking barriers to allow everyone the ability to train at our facility with 24/7 access. Being family-orientated, you can bring your children* and advanced gear to achieve a workout in under 10 minutes.

Our staff want you to be leading your best life. Our trainers can identify and prescribe programming to reduce or remove pain, re-establish muscle functions and reduce fatigue that comes with the modern day work week hustle.

TK SMITH

General Manager & Personal Trainer

Kia ora! I’m TK Smith, proud mum of two girls and manager at Way of Life Fitness. With a Diploma in Exercise Science and years of experience in the fitness industry, my true passion lies in helping people achieve the goals they set for themselves—especially when others say it cannot be done.


I do not believe in the word can’t. I believe there is always a way—sometimes we just need to find a different path. I understand that every person is unique and so is their journey. Whether you are just starting out or getting back on track, I am here to support you, guide you, and challenge you—if you're ready and willing.


Let’s prove the doubters wrong—together.

Troy Mahupuka

Owner Manager & Personal Trainer

I am a professional Fire Fighter by trade in Lower Hutt with over 17 years’ experience. In 2013 I got trapped in a fire, sustaining 30% burns to my body and went through a long recovery process.

Part of this journey was learning to walk again. After this experience, I became interested in the human body and its capabilities to recover and survive. I then become a qualified personal trainer and now own Way of Life Fitness.

I feel with my life experience I can relate to our members in a way other PTs cannot. I have walked the walk and can use this to truly understand, support and motivate members. I enjoy spending time with my family and understand how hard it can be to start a health and wellbeing journey when you are time poor.

I have setup a facility that can work around your schedule and needs.

KAT GLANFIELD

Receptionist

Kia ora! My name is Kat Glanfield and I am the friendly face you will see as you enter Way of Life Fitness. I work in reception and handle all things computer related to keep the gym running smoothly and efficiently.

I am a proud mother of two energetic boys and in a past life could bake treats that would win awards. In my spare time, you will catch me stitching up crochet goods.

I am always here to help with any questions you may have so come say hi at reception.

SAIA STOWERS-KASIANO

Personal Trainer

Bonjour! My name is Elisaia Stowers-Kasiano and I’m a personal trainer here at Way of Life Fitness. I completed my Level 4 Fitness course at NZIHF in 2023 and have been a qualified trainer ever since. I began my own weight loss journey in 2022 to improve my health and overall wellbeing. That experience sparked a deep passion for fitness and has driven me to help others do the same.

 

Outside the gym, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, gaming and getting creative with videography/photography. Working at

Way of Life Fitness has given me the opportunity to give back to my community and support others who are on their own health and fitness journeys — because I know firsthand how challenging, but rewarding, it can be.
